That said, I will try to comment on the highlights of WriteNow™ 2.2 from the point of view of a Mac IIci user to give the reader a look at the product from that angle. The product performs pretty much as advertised; it is a very functional product (I'm using it to write this article); and, I have uncovered no major problems while using it in the time available for this project. On the positive side, I have observed several nice features; the most notable to me from the first was the way it handles importing and exporting of files. The "Open" dialog box has a second window -- part contents for background part 10 ----- text ----- which shows six choices for file formats which cover most situations one would need for this purpose.This way one can change the file format type by clicking on the format selection and see the available files appear in the file name window. The "Save As" function has five choices. Most programs I have seen to date require you to click on a file type button in order to see the choices and make selections, this one tells you the types without additional "button pushing". One of the program's most advertised features is it's speed. It is less than one third the size of the three major packages which are often compared to it; and, it does run noticeably faster; however, I must point out that the
